Tirumala Venkateswara

Lord Vishnu worshipped as Sri Venkateswara

Set in the Seshachalam hills near Tirupati, Tirumala is one of India's most visited pilgrimage centres. The temple's worship follows a rich Vaishnava tradition associated with Sri Ramanuja. Pilgrims often visit the Varahaswami shrine before darshan, a practice described in TTD's temple history.

Before you go: Follow TTD's current dress instructions and arrange darshan and accommodation only through its official channels.
